The McDonald's Diet - Clowning Around or Golden Diet Arches?

Want the truth on the McDonald's golden arches?  They don't stand for McDonalds, rather 'mmmmmmm' good!  And we'd be willing to bet that the dieters who have recently jumped on the McDonald's Diet Band Wagon would agree!

Yes, there is a new diet in town - and people are losing weight using the McDonald's Diet.

Perhaps it's true that every negative delivers a positive, and such is the case with the McDonald's menu. Fans of the McDonald's menu have been striking out in protest to discount the documentary film, "Super Size Me" by filmmaker Morgan Spurlock who gained an incredible 30 pounds while on the McDonald's diet.

As unbiased onlookers, we must say that the McDonald's menu has really "shaped up" over the last few years - perhaps in an attempt to help "shape up" America.  Sure, McDonald's has divine but health-deadly food faire on the menu, but much of the menu is also health smart.

When McDonald's introduced healthy salads to their menu, it started a chain reaction in the fast food industry.  Soon, healthy salads, fruity delights and low fat versions of many fast food favorites sprung up around the country.

True - adding croutons, salad dressing and other fancies to the healthy salad will indeed up the calories.  However, the optional ingredients allow the customer to make their salad as healthy or as unhealthy as they wish!

Fast food, it's all about options now.  And many individuals who are choosing to discount weight gain associated with the McDonald's menu are having great success in losing weight.  Low calorie choices blended with the amount of food eaten are rendering impressive dieting results.

Should you choose to try the McDonald's menu as your diet plan for weight loss, be certain to chat with your doctor before doing such. Existing conditions, such as heart disease, may be negatively impacted even with weight loss when an individual implores a low calorie diet that is high in fat.

It's a great dieting idea for everyone visiting McDonald's to request a nutrition guide which fully outlines the nutritional values of the foods on the McDonald's menu.  It would be great if all fast food restaurants would provide such valuable information to their customers.

So here's to healthy salads and an occasional Big Mac!
