The Subway Diet Plan

The Subway Diet Plan is a very good mode of weight loss, though individuals who are watching sodium intake should take into consideration that many of the items on the Subway menu are pretty hefty in salt content.

Examples of salty food items: Luncheon meats, cheese, olives, pickled peppers and pickles.

In addition, most luncheon meats -whether lean or not, contain nitrates which can cause a mass of problems for individuals with certain health conditions.

For most everyone else, the Subway diet contains lean cuts of meat, fresh baked bread available in several varieties, and vegetables galore. The spread is akin the 'The King's Table' and overall, is one of the healthiest spots for fastfood dieting.

The Subway people have also included carb-friendly menu selections for those on a carb-restricted diet plan.

About the only foods that aren't diet-friendly at Subway are the sweets, including those fresh baked cookies. One sugar cookie contains about the same number of calories as a Veggie Delight sub sandwich, so choose wisely.

Subway even offers baked chips, as well as diet-friendly pretzels (excluding presidential dieters). Diet soda is also a menu choice, so

 

these folks have all the Diet Bases fully covered.

One of the best things that I like about Subway is their Mayo, which is 'Light' though I can't tell it from the full blown deal.

Keep in mind that adding extra condiments and items to your sandwiches will tack on more calories; the worst food item to tack on being cheese.  However, cheese is part of the healthy dairy family and should be an important part of the daily diet.
